REID HOFFMAN is an entrepreneur and investor. In 1998, Reid Hoffman was a founding Board member and executive vice president of PayPal. In 2003, he co-founded LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking service. He was an angel investor in Facebook and Zynga, and in 2009, he became a partner at the venture capital firm Greylock Partners. He currently serves on the boards of Airbnb, Apollo Fusion, Aurora, Coda, Convoy, Entrepreneur First, Gixo, Microsoft, Nauto, and Xapo, as well as not-for-profits Kiva, Endeavor, CZI Biohub and Do Something. He hosts Masters of Scale, an original podcast series. He is also the co-author of two New York Times best-selling books: The Start-Up of You and The Alliance. With lots of great tips for using LinkedIn, as well as many useful anecdotes from real life experiences in Reid Hoffman's life, it offers a lot of inspiring and practical lessons to take away for real world implementation.
I have purchased to book to get more insight into personal branding, something what the title encouraged. I was a bit disappointed as the content was rather superficial, full of name-dropping of other CEO's from Silicon Valley but rather limited insight for the ordinary person. However, I found a couple of good hints in it.If you look for something how to operate your LinkedIn account this is the wrong book, but it is still a good, easy to read book for the airplane
